Getting Ready
Prepare the oven: Bring the oven temperature up to 329°F, or 165°C.
Whisk the batter together: Use a hand mixer to thoroughly combine the sugar and butter in a separate, clean dish. While beating vigorously after each addition, gradually add the eggs.
Mix with the dry components: While mixing, gradually add cake flour and baking powder until well blended.
Combine ingredients: After the candied orange slices and chocolate chips have been stirred into the mixture, be sure to distribute them evenly.
Set up the pan for the loaf: Greasing or lining a loaf pan with parchment paper will keep the mixture from sticking. After the pan is ready, pour in the batter and level it out.
When a toothpick put in the middle of the loaf comes out clean, it's done baking. Bake for 40 minutes.
To finish and let cool, brush the cake with freshly squeezed orange juice after it comes out of the oven. After the cake has cooled completely, put it in the fridge for the night.
The wonderful citrus and chocolate flavors of this Orange Loaf Cake go so well with hot beverages. Have fun!
