Barley Soup with Beef


Instructions:
1. Brown the beef stew meat in a big saucepan over medium heat. 2.
2. Cook the veggies until they are soft, then add the garlic, thyme, onion, carrots, and celery to the saucepan.
Toss in the barley and beef broth, then mix well. Once boiling, lower heat to a simmer and cook for one to one and a half hours, or until barley is cooked and meat is soft.
4. Before serving, season with salt and pepper according to your taste.
