Instructions
For the Soup:
Sauté the Vegetables:
In a large pot or Dutch oven, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add the chopped onion, carrots, and celery. Cook until softened, about 5–7 minutes.
Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 additional minute until fragrant.
Add Broth and Seasonings:
Pour in the chicken broth and add the bay leaves, salt, and black pepper.
Bring the mixture to a gentle boil.
